Step 1: Solar Education Seminar & Professional Solar Consultation
Every solar power project starts with a quick conversation about how solar works and to see if solar is right for you. We’ll discuss how solar is generated, your energy use and take a look at your roof using satellite imaging.
We’ll prepare the best, customized solar quote if everything looks good. It includes all of your options with your goals in mind and projects your energy savings for the next 20 years.
Step 2: Site Survey
There are two basic questions to answer to determine if solar can work well at your location: Does your location get enough sun? Do nearby obstacles (trees, buildings, etc.,) at your location block too much sun?
Not surprisingly, the sun must actually shine on a solar collector in order for it to collect useful energy. More surprisingly, some solar projects are built that never meet expectations because obstacles block the sun. We will site survey your house to see if it will qualify.
Step 3: Solar Agreement
Your personalized agreement secures predictable solar energy cost for the next 20 years, depending on your financing option. You’ll find that the most important details of the agreement right on the front page.
There are no hidden fees, but you’ll find plenty of guarantees and warranties that protect you and your home.
Step 4: Permitting Process
There are currently more than 550 jurisdictions in California – each with their own codes and regulations. There are two ways to request permit approval. One way is to have the property owner submit plans themselves. The second way, which occurs more often, is to have the licensed contractor performing the work obtain the permit.
We request all the necessary permits and schedule all the inspections, so you don’t have to ever worry about personally dealing with your county building department. We take care of it all!
Step 5: Installation
Once everything is approved, we send in our installation teams to get the job completed. Depending on the size of the system and complexity of the roof, the installation process can take 1-3 days. We support a variety of different installation methods for a wide range of roof materials. Our professional installation teams are highly trained to comply with all safety rules and regulations.
Step 6: Utility Approval & Activation- Turn on the Power!
Here’s the best part. Once the utility company gives approval, you get to flip the switch to start generating your own clean, affordable energy, saving your family money while saving the environment.
